3.2 Farewell

The Senior QS from the consultant side said goodbye this morning and individually shook hands with all the team. He was a jolly good old fellow. Our submissions suffered a lot during his tenure. He slashed our recommendation for a subcontractor work scope prolongation cost reducing it to one-third of its value and did not put up a fight to keep it as is when the client assessed it as nil.

I felt sad—actually—when he shook mine. It’s the end of an era.
