3. Poem 1: Photo Captions

Broken interlocking pavers, i.e.
courtesy of subbie’s misguided truckers.

Dented chamber covers, i.e.
rolled over by tank-like mini-excavators.

Tire marks on the pedestrian walkway asphalt, i.e.
like watermarks on paper specified by default.

Damaged grass and plants, i.e.
rummaged by undisciplined wheelbarrows.

Lacerated cable ducts underneath the ground, i.e.
it could ignite the higher ups–go fix that wound!

Try caption writing when there’s no bread, i.e.
you’ll end up rhyming what your boss had said.
